Features a full Cylinder opening with unobstructed water flow through the sampler. Has flexible, plunger-like End Seals pulled closed by a high-quality elastic (rubber) tube. When first lifted out of the water, some water will leak out until an inner vacuum is created to stop the seepage. This seepage exists with all Van Dorn style water bottles, which were originally designed by Dr William Van Dorn at Scripps.
A Messenger for each bottle and a suitable line are required for taking samples. Clear acrylic outer cylinder (TT) enables previewing before draining; it also permits mounting a thermometer inside. Opaque PVC outer cylinder is tougher than acrylic and will take more abuse. Designed for 5 mm (3/16") Line or 3 mm (1/8") Cable. Operates like the Alpha Bottle. Has rigid polyurethane (PU) End Seals with silicon gaskets pulled closed by a high-quality elastic (amber latex) tube. Designed and built for measurements to the nanogram/L level. When first lifted out of the water, some water will leak out until an inner vacuum is created to stop the seepage. This seepage exists with all Van Dorn style water bottles, which were originally designed by Dr. William Van Dorn at Scripps.
Requires Messenger for each bottle and a suitable Line for series sampling. Protect from damage during transportation and storage, and from sunlight by a suitable Carrying Case. Clear acrylic (TT) cylinder enables previewing before draining; also permits mounting a thermometer inside. Opaque PVC outer cylinder is tougher than acrylic and takes more abuse. KEMMERER WATER BOTTLE

- Used for Shallow to Deep Water
Open End Seals extend above and below the wide open mouth. Water flows smoothly around the End Seals to give a good, accurate sample. Top End Seal and cylinder slide slowly down the center metal tube to close the bottle. No water oozes out around the bottom End Seal. Messenger required to close. Very simple and durable patented closing mechanism requires very little servicing.

A long-lasting sampler for any depth. Silicone End Seals are used when sampling for mercury (Hg) at the nanogram/liter level and below. PU End Seals will outlast the Silicone End Seals. Like all Kemmerer bottles, the Kemmerer Well Sampler does not leak any sample water during air movements prior to removing the sampled water because the bottom End Seal makes a very tight seal.

Water sample touches only plastic parts. Center Tube is CPVC; rope should be polyester or nylon; Trip Head is PU. Delrin®, nylon, and PU plastics have replaced former metal parts that did not touch the sample water. Garter Spring in the Trip Head, formerly metal, is now a rubber compound; sampled water does not touch the Garter Spring.
